Film is Fabulous! will, unquestionably, offer collectors the finest selection of film prints available to purchase for many years. A major reason for this will be the private film collections being offered for sale.

It has already been announced that a number of private film collections, such as the Martyn Stevens Collection and the Flickers & Novascope Archives, will be offered for sale. Items from these sizeable collections include 9.5mm and 16mm film prints, projectors, spares, plus film related books and periodicals. But other collections will also be available.

The Sam Lavington Collection will offer a selection of very rare silent era projectors, all pre-1900, plus cameras from the same period. There will also be a large quantity of 16mm b/w feature films, including vintage westerns, 1930s horror, and a rake of 1950s TV films.

In addition to this, one of the most prestigious private collections in the U.K. will be available from a collector in the Midlands. A huge selection of 16mm and 35mm feature films, shorts and trailers, with James Bond, Sci-Fi thrillers, and a host of other popular film titles will be offered at the event.

The collection also boasts classic British television comedies and dramas, with 16mm BBC recordings. Episodes of Dad’s Army, Hancock, and Steptoe and Son, plus popular dramas from the 1960s, 70s and 80s that rarely become available in the U.K. These items represent a lifetime of collecting. They will be available to purchase on the day.

Film is Fabulous! will be a haven for film collectors, cinema lovers and vintage television enthusiasts. An event you simply cannot miss.

Film is Fabulous! Preserving film treasures for future generations.
